Together, Let's Cultivate Joy
Our Story
TPN has been in operation for over 15 years, facilitating Play Churches around the world, Ten Million True (an initiative to inspire 10 million appreciative love letters being written and sent globally), and Joy Without Borders which helps the helpers, working with non-profits. It is the brainchild of Natalie Marie Kinsey, a longtime teacher, appreciative inquiry facilitator, community builder, pastor and poet, working in collaboration with her partner, an activist storyteller and goofball, as well as a host of other friends, allies, elders, and collaborators, locally and globally, all working together to develop and launch this new iteration and replicable, sustainable model for collaborative thriving.
why play?
The Play Network is a model for collaborative thriving. It operates on the principle that we must create a foundation for shared transformation. The collapsing world is unfriendly and provides no soft ground for growth, experimentation, emergence, deconditioning and remembering how to live in rhythm with Life itself. Play, in this context becomes a greenhouse for the collective emergence, and is defined as the method for transporting a person to the next, truer state of being, just as all mammals play to evolve, develop skills, create bonds, so must humans. Play is nonlinear and connects the player to higher states of being where new solutions await us. People don't/can't fake play. The natural willingness of participation, feels "on path" and is innately rewarding at all levels of being. Time spent in play, whether it be gardening together, making art or running down a mountain, is additive and refuels us for the work we are here to do, and it also creates pauses and interrupts our logical obsessions and opens opportunities for new ways of being. Without this essential nutrient, many world-bettering organizations become brittle, depleted and ultimately fail. Our culture has lost access to the soul-renewing wonder of true play and has collapsed into pleasure-seeking, avoidant addiction patterns as a false replacement, think Wall-E.
Play naturally brings us to our personal and collective growth edges, so while the first part of the network addresses our human needs for play, connection, integration, collaboration, stimulation, novelty, skill development, adventure, etc, the second part of the model addresses the invisible part of any system, the intangible stuff: dreams, thoughts, beliefs, psyches, patterns, emotions, and energetic considerations of every hue. The inner network will be accessible both online, via an app, and in local events. All offerings on the inner network meet the standard of "Good-for-All" and help normalize the process of healing and coming to wholeness, individually and collectively. The offerings are from teachers, helpers, and elders, everywhere.
